I will work closely with you, as parents, to provide the best possible care for your child. From the first time you walk through the door to the moment you leave them for the first time, everything I do will be focused around them.
Getting to know your child’s routine, likes and dislikes, development stage and any allergy information will allow me to tailor activities to suit your child when they are in my care. Communication will be primarily delivered through the medium of English with incidental Welsh used during the day.
Before your child starts daycare I will ask you to fill out a short questionnaire about them, including the information I have already mentioned as well as potential soothers/comforters for nap time or quiet time.
This will allow me to get an insight into your child before they start with me, and for you to share any concerns that you may have. I encourage communication between you and I and there will always be, at the end of the day, time to review what your child has been doing. If you are unable to stay, do not worry, I will provide a brief written account in their Homebook. The Homebook is filled in daily with activities that we have done, food they have eaten, nappies that have been changed (if relevant) and any achievements or milestones reached during the day!
Transition into a new setting can be difficult and I will make this as easy as possible for all involved. No question is too minor and no concern too small.
