A routine for children should allow flexibility as well as stability. Children come to me with their own routine and as a team we shall work together to ensure the transition of your child into my care will be as easy as possible. I am registered with the CIW to care for up to 10 children within my setting, adhering to the guidelines on ratios and ages.
We will usually go out in the morning and our afternoons will be more close to home, even if it is just a visit to our local park, taking into consideration nap times for the children in my care, ensuring everyone is being treated fairly.
This is an example day, activities and timing are rough and to allow enough time to travel between places if we have been out.

The main room that will be used is our ‘Playroom’ this has a dining table where the children will eat all of their meals, unless we have a picnic.
Our outside area has a range of ride on, scooter and tricycle type toys as well as a mud kitchen, bug hotel, swing, slide and playhouse. We have a lawn area where the children can play ball games, balancing activities, have scavenger hunts and generally have fun!
Children will be taken to different activities within the local area in my car with correct car seats for their age ranges. These may include be going to the park, zoo, farm, beach, local playgroups or National Trust Properties.
If your child still has a nap during the day this will happen in my front room in a travel cot, where they will be checked on regularly.
We have a downstairs bathroom where children can use the basin to wash their hands before meal times and obviously go to the toilet!
